Wired Magazine/News is a company that's headquartered in San Francisco, California, and focuses on articles about how new technologies impact culture, politics, and economy of the world. Wired was founded by Louis Rossetto, along with his partner Jane Metcalfe, and Ian Charles Stewart, Wired first made it's debut at a Macworld conference, and was known as the "Rolling Stone" of the STEM world. Within the first 4 years, Wired had earned many awards, applauding it's creativity, innovation, and cultural impact. After 1998, Wired was purchased by Advance Publications, by whom it is currently still being run by.
